OJN Edition of the Breviary

I’m happy to announce that there is a new version of the breviary available! In collaboration with Fr. John-Julian, there is now a dedicated page where friends of the Order of Julian of Norwich may follow the order’s use:

As with the OBG version, this is a contextual breviary and will automatically apply the order’s uses and select the office to be prayed based on your time zone.

Please note that it is a spoken version of the office. Thus, morning and evening hymns are not included although the Little Hours do have their set hymnody.

Further note: when you go to this page, the javascript that calculates the time will add some goobledygook at the end of the web address. If you try to bookmark it and include that material, it won’t return the right results. When you save it as a bookmark, take the stuff at the end of the url off so it ends with”.php”

I wonder if it is possible to down load a month of offices. I have a NOOK and have used Mission St. Clair but prefeer your version.

That’s a good question, Judy. I’ve been giving it some thought and will post a response when I get a chance.

I used the link for OJN Offices, but the Javascript keeps taking me to Epiphany this year. Did you enter International time zones? I am in the Philippines.

      Hi Ken,

This is a rare but persistent error. I’m still trying to track it down…

The link worked fine this morning and afternoon. We are getting close to evening, so I’ll check evening prayer.
